Primary Stroke Centers
The Michigan hospitals listed below have received Joint Accreditation of
Health Care Organizations (JACHO) certification as a Primary Stroke Hospital.
This designation is given to hospitals that demonstrate compliance with national
standards and performance measures in stroke care. The certification program was
developed in collaboration with the American Stroke Association. It is based on the
Brain Attack Coalition “Recommendations for the Establishment of Primary Stroke Centers.”
